Jill Parshley, a shining new team member at David Francis New York, joins us from Keller Williams Real Estate in Jackson Heights. Jill recognizes adversity in the market that homeowners, landlords, property management, and investors now face, similar to when she began working in real estate in 2008. She hopes to utilize her experience and resilience to be of maximum service during these challenging times, assisting you with all of your real estate needs.
Born and raised in Astoria, Queens, one of the most diverse, popular neighborhoods in NYC, Jill is 3rd generation NY holding a wealth of knowledge and connections across the boroughs. Fortunate enough to attend a private preparatory high school, graduating as salutatorian and awarded a creative writing scholarship, Jill went on to be the first woman to graduate college on her mother's side of the family. She was awarded 2 scholarships from Queens College, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in English/Creative Writing and Drama/Theatre. Forty of her articles and several poems are published, she performed at the annual NYC Poetry Festival, and in several independent films, and was the voice of 2 Sirius Satellite radio stations. She created the news column and FB blog "In Between Brooklyn & Queens" where she highlights events, businesses and developments across the five boroughs. Some of her writing/arts can be found at chooseafamily.com, acesmag.com, qgazette.com, jillparshley.com and clippings.me/jillparshleycardillo
Jill's work ethic broadened at KB Network News, Multiple Sclerosis Society/Manhattan Society, Catholic Charities, Young Israel of Sunnyside, The Central Park Boathouse Restaurant, Stella Adler, and Ron Shetler Studios. These variety of freelance positions in between real estate and the arts enhanced her public relations, event planning, fundraising, sponsorship, management, writing, administration, sales and marketing skills. Her first job in the real estate field was at a boutique agency as an administrator. Being a “people person”, she utilized her organizational PR experience to promote sales and engage with customers and clients there. Loving this newfound passion, Jill became a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson through the NY Department of State beginning at Amorelli Real Estate, and continuing at Millennium Real Estate. She has experience working as an assistant mortgage originator at Residential Home Funding bank in Long Island, NY, and as an assistant property manager for five Queen's buildings. Jill cares. These nurturing skills come naturally, as her previous education career was tutoring, teaching preschool, and teaching creative writing to underprivileged youth.
Jill resides in Queens with her husband, Anthony Cardillo Jr., an artist and carpenter.
Jill's not afraid to get her hands dirty, she puts her heart and soul into every detail. You'll even find her with a sander, screwgun, or paintbrush in hand as her and her husband team up to prepare open houses and rental showings together. She remains a down-to-earth, personable agent who gets down to business. She cultivates a lifetime of professional partnerships with her clients and customers, who continue to contact her throughout the years to help their family and friend's real estate dreams come true.
